  • Stroll Through Chippewa Square – Visit the spot made famous by Forrest Gump’s bench scenes. The actual bench now resides at the Savannah History Museum.  
  • Relax in Johnson Square – Savannah’s oldest and largest square features two elegant fountains and a monument to Revolutionary War hero General Nathanael Greene.
  • Admire Lafayette Square – Marvel at the stunning Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the central fountain honoring the Marquis de Lafayette.
  • Visit Monterey Square – Surrounded by elegant historic homes, including the Mercer-Williams House, this is often considered Savannah’s most picturesque square.
  • Enjoy Modern Ellis Square – Located by City Market, this lively square features a playful fountain, picnic tables, and a life-sized chess set.
